Warranty & Owner Info
What’s Covered and What’s Required
Every new Hoot system comes with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty and a 2-year initial service policy. Here’s exactly what that means for you.
What’s Included With Every New Hoot System
Non-prorated and fully transferable. Covers manufacturing defects in all system components.
All required O&M service visits, sampling, and inspection calls during the first two years of ownership — included.
Transferable warranty: The 3-year manufacturer’s warranty is non-prorated and fully transferable to a new owner if the property is sold during the warranty period. This adds tangible value to your property.
Your First Two Years — What’s Included
During the first two years of system ownership, Superior On-Site Solutions provides all O&M services required by your local regulatory agency — included in the initial service policy. You don’t pay separately for required service visits during this period.
At each service visit during the initial service period, your authorized Hoot service provider performs:
- Complete inspection of every system component
- Adjustment or servicing of any electrical, mechanical, or operational component needing attention
- Performance verification — confirming the system is treating wastewater as designed
- Effluent sampling collection where required by local regulatory officials
- County O&M compliance report preparation and submission
- Documentation of all findings and any actions taken
Continuing Service After the Initial Policy
At the end of your initial two-year service period, you have options for continuing O&M service:
Continue with Superior On-Site Solutions
We offer ongoing annual and semi-annual O&M service programs. We know your system, we know your county’s requirements, and you won’t have to start over with someone new.
Choose Another Provider
You may choose another service provider approved by your local regulatory office. They must meet your county’s O&M provider requirements for advanced aerobic treatment systems.
Regardless of which provider you choose, O&M service is required by California county regulations for the life of your system. Lapses in service can put you out of compliance with your permit and void your warranty.
What Keeps Your Warranty Valid
- Keep all required O&M service visits current
- Use only authorized Hoot parts for any repairs or replacements
- Do not modify the system without manufacturer authorization
- Maintain power to the system at all times
- Report problems to your service provider promptly — don’t attempt DIY repairs on electrical or mechanical components
“The warranty is there to protect your investment — and keeping service current is what keeps the warranty valid. Think of O&M visits as insurance on your most important home infrastructure.”
